These are means I have either witnessed, experienced, or heard through the grape vine that the Spirit uses to strengthen His children in prayer. Feel free to add your own because I'd love to know. Gracias.
- Read D. A. Carson's book on the prayers of Paul. The intro and Ch 1 were worth the book to me.
- Use Operation World to pray more intentionally for the nations and God's global mission. I like using the book.
- Tie your prayers to the Scriptures.
- Pray out loud. It helps you focus.
- Pray with other believers.
- Buy a house.
- Have a baby.
- Get married.
- Maybe, possibly, occasionally write it out in a journal or something. Sometimes this helps me focus.
- Realize that as believers, we get to fellowship with each member of the Godhead. I know that sounds weird. So, read John Owen's book about communing with God.
- Set aside specific time to pray. Distractions will dominate your puny motivation if you don't deliberately set aside time for it.

get in positions of worship/prayer.
prostrate, on bended knee, hands outstretched... whatever it be. it reminds the body of what the soul is doing.
me gusta on that bro. very jewish and emerging. just like i like it :)
Realize that prayer is one thing that connects us with fellow believers anywhere as we intercede for each other. Prayer connects us with the universal church as we all petition, confess, and praise our bridegroom "standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel" (Phil 1:27).
wow. yes. the horizontal ripple effects. i like.
