Needless to say, the marriage of Systematic Theology and Narrative Theology is an arranged one. The families on both sides often seem near-sighted and ready to hate their in-laws. That's why I'm a member of the First Emerging Reformed Bapti-costal Holiness Church of Prophecy of the Second Coming.

I'd like to hear your thoughts sometime about that document.
are you saying that you disagree with narrative theology or partial agree? His new book explains alot of narrative stuff. Just wondering.
i agree with the overall thrust of it. there is a metanarrative. it's God's story. amen 1000x over. i just feel that most people who love to think like that downplay the role of doctrine in the Body. balance is the key.
i concur.
I'll agree with you and the document on narrative theology. I read Mars Hill's interp of the Bible, and it sounds like the Bible I know. But I know the people who are immersed in that culture are pretty averse to 'doctrine' (not realizing they are steeped in the stuff, just with different names.)
